Zendesk Ticket Tracker · Last updated: October 5, 2026
Zendesk Ticket Tracker ("the extension") is a browser extension and companion web dashboard that helps a support agent count and analyze the Zendesk tickets they personally handle. This page explains what data the extension collects, why, and how it's stored.
What we collect
- Google account info: your name, email address, and Google account ID, obtained when you sign in with Google. Used only to identify your account and sync your data across your own devices.
- Ticket activity you log: the counts and categories (Open, New, Team, Compliance, Escalation, Closed) you tap on the floating widget, along with the timestamp of each tap.
- Zendesk page content: the extension's content script reads the currently open Zendesk workspace page (e.g. the active ticket list/tab) to detect and count tickets. It does not read pages outside zendesk.com.
- Your own settings: display name, weekly shift schedule, category colors, appearance theme, and similar preferences you configure.
- Optional integration tokens: if you choose to enable Slack or Telegram reports, the bot token and chat/channel ID you enter yourself, so the extension can send a report to a destination you specify.
What we don't collect
We do not collect health information, financial or payment information, personal communications (emails/texts/chats you didn't explicitly configure), your general web browsing history, your location, or keystroke/mouse activity. The extension only runs on zendesk.com pages and reads ticket-related content there — it does not monitor any other site you visit.
How your data is stored
- On your device: most settings and cached counts are stored locally using the browser's
chrome.storage.local, so the popup and widget load instantly.
- In the cloud: once you sign in with Google, your ticket data and settings are synced to a private document in our Firebase/Firestore project, readable and writable only by your own account. This is what lets your stats follow you across devices and appear on the companion web dashboard.
- In the shared leaderboard: a separate, deliberately public-to-other-users record. See “Leaderboards” below.
Leaderboards — what other users can see
If you are signed in, some of your information is visible to every other signed-in user of this extension. The extension includes weekly and monthly leaderboards, and making a leaderboard work means publishing an entry that others can read.
Each leaderboard entry contains:
- your display name
- your email address
- your Google profile photo
- your ticket total for the period, and your peak tickets-per-hour
These entries are stored in a shared collection that is not currently scoped to your team or organization. Any signed-in user of the extension can read every entry, including yours — not only colleagues you know. Your detailed ticket history, settings, and integration tokens are not part of a leaderboard entry and remain private to your account.
Leaderboard entries are written only while you are signed in. Sign out, and no new entries are published for you. To have existing entries removed, contact us using the address at the bottom of this page.
Who your data is shared with
Your data is never sold, and it is not shared with third parties beyond what's needed to run the extension:
- Other users of this extension: your name, email address, profile photo, and period ticket totals, via the shared leaderboard described above. This applies whenever you are signed in.
- Google / Firebase: used for sign-in and to host your synced data (Firestore, Identity Toolkit).
- Slack / Telegram (optional, opt-in only): if you configure a bot token and chat ID yourself, a report is sent to that destination. This is entirely under your control and off by default.
We do not use your data for advertising, do not use or transfer it for any purpose unrelated to the extension's ticket-tracking function, and do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
Your control over your data
- Use "Clear All Data" inside the extension's settings to erase your locally stored data at any time.
- Sign out at any time to stop cloud sync and to stop publishing new leaderboard entries.
- Contact us (below) to request full deletion of your synced account data, including any leaderboard entries, from our servers.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the extension after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
